With over 17 years of experience in risk insurance, Duane is an energetic and passionate planner.

He always goes out of his way to make sure he can get his clients the cover they need so that there’s no gaps in their planning.

Taking care of business owners is a key passion, Duane specialises in Business Assurance making sure that if something happens to any key player within a company it is still able to function and grow.

For over 23 years as financial adviser, Chris’s goal has always been to help people achieve their own unique financial goals by providing ethical, best, and professional financial advice the smart way.

This advice is based on –

• Every person has the ability to plan his own unique financial future,
• Every elder has the financial responsibility to plan for those who are financially dependent on him/her, and
• That these goals can only be achieved with simplified and effective financial advice.

Chris, his wife Yolanda and two sons, Henré and Liam, emigrated from South Africa to New Zealand in May 2022 and are currently located in Orewa. He is a strong believer in a balanced life, where his love for family, friends, participation in sports (golf, cricket, tennis), being outdoors and a successful career complement each other.

Dean is a dedicated insurance adviser with over 10 years of experience in Fire and General insurance. Throughout his career, he has worked with a wide range of clients, helping them find the right cover to suit their needs.

Dean is passionate about making insurance simple and accessible, ensuring clients feel confident and supported in every step of the process. He values building long-term relationships based on trust, clear communication, and practical advice, and takes pride in delivering tailored solutions that provide genuine peace of mind.

Vanessa is our Practice Manager with over 30 years of varied experience in finance, legal and business ownership, always with a focus on building strong relationships with clients.

Throughout her career, she has developed a deep understanding of client needs and service excellence. Vanessa is passionate about delivering exceptional service and ensuring clients feel supported throughout their journey with DormFIN. She values building strong relationships based on trust, attention to detail and personalised care, and takes pride in creating smooth experiences that give clients genuine confidence in working with DormFIN.

Riaan brings over 29 years of banking and financial services experience across New Zealand and South Africa. He specialises in credit risk, relationship management and commercial lending, giving clients strong insight into how banks assess and structure lending.

He has held senior roles at Nedbank, Westpac and BNZ, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce along with CQIB and the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).

Based in Auckland, Riaan is committed to helping Kiwis make confident property decisions with clear, strategic mortgage advice.
